-Curbside Recycling-

Curbside recycling collection (the Blue Box program) is one of many ways the City of Orillia is attempting to extend the life of our landfill site. Recycling materials is also an excellent means of protecting our environment. Use this program to its fullest potential and cut your waste by 15%!

Recycling materials must be placed at the curb by 7:00 am to ensure collection. Please see our collection guide for full details.

Recycling at Apartments & Businesses

Recycling is mandatory at apartments with six or more dwelling units in Orillia. Apartments with six or more dwelling units can now set out up to eight (8) bundles of cardboard without a garbage tag! Bundles must not be larger than 75cm x 120cm x 25cm (30"x48"x10"). Note that businesses, institutions and other residential locations are still limited to four (4) bundles of cardboard without a garbage tag. For larger apartments and businesses, the City provides 360 litre recycling carts. Smaller apartments and businesses may utilize the regular Recycling Box program. If you wish to utilize the recycling cart program, please call 325-2325.
