TRANSIT SERVICE NOTICES


ORILLIA TRANSIT SERVICE NOTICE

EXTENDED WEEKDAY EVENING HOURS AND SERVICE TO LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 7, 2010

Beginning Tuesday September 7, 2010, weekday evening transit hours will be extended by 3.5 hours on all routes.  Weekday service will have a final terminal departure at 10:15 p.m. with service ending at 10:45 p.m.  Saturday transit service hours will remain unchanged.

In conjunction with the implementation of extended evening hours, the West Ridge Route will begin providing service to Lakehead University via University Avenue.  To accommodate this change, service on Hunter Valley Road will be discontinued and the existing Hunter Valley Road transit stop will be relocated to the southeast corner of University Avenue at Hunter Valley Road.

DETOUR NOTICES & ROUTE MODIFICATIONS

Colborne St. Construction

To accommodate the reconstruction of Colborne Street, the following transit detours will be in place until further notice.

South Routes:  the South A and B Routes will be detoured outbound to eastbound King Street to access Front Street.  South Route transit stops located on eastbound Colborne Street (at Tim Horton’s, Matchedash Street, and Front Street) will not be in service until further notice.

Georgian Route:  the Georgian Route will be detoured inbound from Colborne Street to Dunlop Street northbound to access the terminal via Mississaga Street.  Georgian Route transit stops located on eastbound Colborne Street at Albert Street and at Andrew Street will not be in service until further notice.
